TRAINING 4 ALL 2021

THE FOUNDING OF A NEW TOMORROW

T4All and COVID-19 We are working closely with the government, national health agency and ministry of health. For now, based on the information and evidences available in Portugal, we see no reason to postpone or cancel our SRT. Moreover, we will keep monitoring the situation and following the recommendations of our national health agency and other relevant entities, acting accordingly.

The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations was founded in 1951 as an organization of medical students, for medical students and by medical students. For more than 60 years, the Federation has not only been a dynamic platform of opportunities for the future physicians but has also served as their voice at the international level.

Every single activity in IFMSA aims to empower medical students from around theworld to be agents of positive change in their communities. It is in IFMSA projects, trainings, activities, campaigns and workshops that magic happens.

A Sub Regional Training (SRT) – such as T4All – is an international meeting supported by the IFMSA, where members and motivated students from a (sub)region or sometimes even further away can meet and participate in trainings, workshops and small working groups.

Capacity Building is one of the milestones of IFMSA Mission and Vision, aiming to empowering students to be the leaders of today, whilst inspiring them to take action at a local level, reaching not only communities, but also individuals. We believe that it is up to each one of us, as National Member Organizations, to do what it is within our reach to provide IFMSA members with opportunities to enable them to develop the needed skills and competencies to promote change in the health arena.

For us, a SRT becomes relevant when it is able to change the life of its participants right from the day after we say goodbye to each others. T4All 2021 is about setting a new starting point for everyone involved and letting a brighter tomorrow be born. Being the city where Portugal was born many centuries ago, Guimarães is the ultimate symbol of our mission, as it represents the birthplace of something bigger.

Even though the world is living an extraordinary time, where COVID-19 insists on threatening and disrupting our daily life, T4All OC 2021 aims to bring you the most memorable edition, with an amazing social and cultural program and brand new trainings topics to be covered such as Health Emergencies. Portugal is a country well known for its people and the warm welcoming that characterize us, filled with astonishing natural landscapes, perfect for sightseeing and sharing experiences and moments whilst enjoying the company of like-minded people.

Are you ready to turn your world upside down and reinvent yourself? Join us in Guimarães!

THE CITY

The city of Guimarães, located in the North of Portugal, is one of the most ancient Portuguese cities, being founded during the 10th century. It is the symbol of the foundation of Portugal as a nation, since it is believed thatit is the birthplace of Dom Afonso Henrique, Portugal’s first king. Moreover, it is also believed that the Battle of São Mamede, the event that lead to the independence of the previously known as County of Portugal from the Kindgom of León, took place in the surroundings of Guimarães.

Due to this historical background, Guimarães is a landmark of the Portuguese History and is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001.
